City of Indianapolis Forensic Services Agency and Marion County Coroner’s Office

KBSO Consulting provided specialized MEP design for the City of Indianapolis Forensic Services Agency and Marion County Coroner’s Office. The agency’s new two-story municipal building includes forensic operation spaces, administrative office areas, a large lecture-style classroom, and a secure public entry. The lab area MEP systems support storage and analysis of latent print, firearm, DNA, serological, and other biological and chemical materials. High illumination lighting, carbon filtration for the firing range, space pressure control with air valves, fume hood plumbing, and central distribution of compressed air, nitrogen, and helium enhance forensic employee safety and efficiency. Fume hood exhaust systems with energy recovery coils reduce energy consumption, while individual labs have sub-panels providing greater electrical circuit control. A generator also adds reliability to the agency’s electrical system. KBSO Consulting appreciates the opportunity to contribute to these vital public service capacity upgrades for the citizens of Marion County and Indianapolis.
