KBSO Consulting provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) designs for 70,000 square feet of modern mixed-use space in Carmel, Indiana’s historic Arts and Design District. Located on the city’s original four surveyed lots, 1st on Main includes eight luxury condominiums and 35 upscale apartments, each designed with energy-efficient HVAC systems and modern plumbing fixtures that enhance comfort and sustainability. Inside the apartments and condominiums, smart technologies include automated lighting and climate control, ensuring a seamless living experience while promoting energy conservation. Throughout the outdoor amenities, integrated lighting and plumbing create inviting spaces for residents and visitors alike. With spacious balconies and a rooftop terrace in the city’s geographic epicenter, 1st on Main promises to provide elevated historical and visual perspectives of Carmel’s ongoing evolution from a quiet 1800s village into an active, diverse community for years to come.
