Nora Elementary School

The Nora Elementary School renovation in Indianapolis, Indiana, included an administration suite update, the conversion of a music area into a media discovery center, and the reconfiguration of classrooms to allow small group breakout rooms and resource activity areas. To facilitate these changes, KBSO Consulting provided comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design services. Project design features include more robust exterior LED lighting expanding visibility during student pick-ups and drop-offs, energy efficient interior LED lighting creating a warm, inviting aesthetic, and a new HVAC system, including an energy-efficient boiler/chiller plant and air handling systems. Layout changes to existing restrooms improve the flow of foot traffic, while new plumbing fixtures limit water consumption, and a new fire suppression system heightens safety. KBSO Consulting is proud to have contributed our MEP design services to Washington Township Schools, transforming Nora Elementary into a safer, more flexible learning environment that will meet the needs of students for decades to come.
